The Erwin Hymer Museum –
Wanderlust, adventure, classic cars and more …
The Erwin Hymer Museum invites you to experience a one-of-a-kind tour of discovery through the cultural and technological history of caravanning.
Erwin Hymer founded more than just a collection of vehicles from all over the world for the general public to enjoy, he created an interactive museum for people to experience the awe of caravanning.
The exhibition space covers more than 6,000 m², inviting visitors to journey to the places every explorer wants to see. Scale an Alpine pass, while away your time in a bright yellow beach tent in Italy at Lido, travel the Hippie Trail to India, swim in the Baltic Sea, cross the Orient and traverse the desert—follow in the footsteps of pioneers through history.
Historical vehicles—whether they are rare unique pieces, bizarre developments or standard models or whether they are amazingly massive or astoundingly small—all tell their stories. What's more, there are exciting and surprising things from development, design and production in the garages!
The exhibit and the diverse event programme transform your museum visit into an exciting journey that awakens a lust for adventure and excitement for your whole family. Visitors can explore the world of culinary delights in the museum's own "Caravano" restaurant offering delicious hot meals.
The Erwin Hymer Museum is open every day year-round from 10 AM to 6 PM and 10 AM to 9 PM on Thursdays. Right on the B30 between Ulm and Lake Constance.
